Planning for user's device

Planning a device deployment as an IT manager with Bravas is easy. All you need is to understand the deployment style you can adopt for a specific device, and to generate an activation code that you will share with the user alongside the correct documentation.

Bravas can enroll supported devices in two ways:

  • using the automated enrollment capabilities provided by the system vendor if you are eligible for it;
  • relying on the self-service enrollment process that all systems support.

To know which process applies to you, all you need to know is the device serial number. Just look for it in your IT Fleet view under the Operate tab. If you find a device marked as free with a non-circled A letter in the Enrollment column, that means your device is eligible for automated enrollment and free to use.

If the device has a circle A, this means it is currently enrolled. Be sure to wipe correctly before sending it to someone for a new deployment.

And if the device is not visible, it means it is currently not eligible for automated enrollment (look in our documentation section related to the OS vendors for eventual post purchase methods to make it eligible).

Once you know what the process will be, you need to generate an activation code by going to the user directory section under the Operate tab to open the user's record and in the Managed devices section.

Generate the code and send it to your coworker with the appropriate enrollment documentation:
